Human Figure Drawing
Human Figure Drawing as the name suggests is the art of drawing the human form in any of its various shapes and postures using any drawing media. It is a skill that most aspiring artists try to acquire. It is also considered to be a difficult skill to acquire requiring practice. This course takes a step by step approach to learning this skill. It covers the different human parts like the eyes, nose, lips, ears, hands, feet and then finally putting it all together in a figure drawing. The medium of choice is pencil though later exercises use coloured mediums.
This course is suitable for any adult who has basic drawing skills and is able to sketch. If a student is not comfortable with sketching
the Basic Drawing course is recommended.
At the completion of this course the student will be able draw human figures in various postures & forms, portraits and make compositions that have human figures.
This course consists of 12 exercises (many having multiple parts), 4 assignments and 5 one hour face-to-face classes.
The duration of this course is 6 months however students may take up to one year to complete the course.
